Kim and Jeff Zimprich live on his families’ farm near Brandon, South Dakota. Kim grew up on a working farm near Harrisburg, South Dakota. They met during college and both graduated from the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. Kim has a degree in Business Administration and Jeff’s degree is in Rangeland Management.
Jeff was hired by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Soil Conservation Service (Now the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)) while still in college. During his 38 year career with NRCS, he worked in Montana, Iowa and South Dakota and served in several detail roles in other states and in Washington, DC.
Kim made her focus raising their three kids while they were young. After they got in school, Kim had several jobs in banking and retail sales.
After they both retired, they moved back to the farm near Brandon.
The farm is very diverse with native grasslands, reestablished native grasslands, pasture and hay land, cropland, and a riparian woodland along Beaver Creek. Jeff’s passion now is doing all he can to make the farm healthier in every aspect and educate the general public about that journey and natural resource conservation in general. For their education and outreach efforts, they use the name “ Pasque Hill on Beaver Creek”.
Kim and Jeff have three adult children, all married and seven grand children. They love spending time with their family anywhere, but especially at the farm. They also enjoy travelling and seeing different parts of the United States and other countries.
